Hi All, Please find new page - Definitions.
Please let me know if there are any links not correct. Hi all,
Checkout the following site & look at the online vodcast (Video-on-demand broadcast) tutorials which are specifically recorded for the Leaving Cert Biology syllabus. http://www.biolog.ie/ Thanks to Mark & Anthony for this. Struggling with your revision? Think of using: Past papers. Mind maps. Cue cards. Podcasts. Revision guide reading. Text book reading. Rewrite notes. Draw out diagrams. Also try: 1> read and try to understand it.... 2> if you cant understand then skip and go ahead read other part, and mark the thing you dont understand. 3> read the difficult part again and still you dont understand, ask in class... Also Check out the following sites on tips for studying http://www.revisescience.co.uk/2011/schools/other/revisionindex.asp http://www.darvill.clara.net/revtips.htm#jigsaw Most important remember it is the syllabus you will be questioned on

We are second year biomedical science students at the National University of Ireland, Galway carrying out a Community Knowledge Initiative project. In conjunction with masters electronic engineering students, we are nearly finished creating a completely free android smartphone application, Off Bio Heart. The app. is for senior cycle biology students (ordinary and higher level) and covers some of the experiments on the biology course (a list of the experiments is available upon request). The application is set to be launched tomorrow, Friday 23rd March by 2pm and hopefully it will be available online to download (for free) from then.
The app. consists of videos of the experiments, each with an accompanying: · experiment procedure · multiple choice quiz · "extra credit" tab consisting of links to applications of the experiment · exam questions (ordinary level and higher level). The aim is to make the experiments available to students in an easily accessible way, so that they can revise the experiments as often as they want. Students will be able to play, pause and rewind the videos so that they can go over specific parts of the experiment if desired. We aim to make the experiments as interesting as possible by including modern applications, from the perspective of third level science students. We would be delighted if you would make your students aware of the application as a study resource tool for them. If you have any questions regarding material that will be included in the app., please feel free to contact me or take a look at the Youtube, Facebook or Twitter pages that have been created. Thank you for your time, we look forward to hearing from you soon, https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Off-Bio-Heart-FREE-Smartphone-App/134355573360894 http://www.youtube.com/user/OffBioHeart https://twitter.com/#!/OffBioHeart Hi 6th Years,
